According to GBTA’s latest business travel index, the BTI™ Outlook, released November 17, 2021 at the 2021 GBTA Convention in Orlando, global business travel spending is expected to surge in 2022 with full recovery expected in 2024, a year sooner than previously forecast.
The report also stated that, currently, business travel recovery in 2021 is proceeding at a slower pace than expected. As the business travel, meetings & events industries slowly ramp up, we’re also seeing a range of reactions from attendees all around the world: in some regions, in-person events are very reluctantly starting to resume and attendees are cautiously hesitant; in others areas large-scale meetings and events are quickly building back to full capacity, with attendees excited to meet in person.
No matter where on this scale you find yourself, if you are planning an upcoming meeting or event, you will inevitably be dealing with people who are still uncertain about attending a large-scale, in-person event, especially one in a potentially uncontrolled environment, like a hotel meeting room. It’s going to be essential for meeting planners to reassure all potential and confirmed attendees, multiple times, throughout the lead-up to the event about the safety precautions implemented at the state, city, local and property levels, to make them feel comfortable you are performing your due diligence to keep attendees safe and COVID-free.
So, how do you know that the venue that you chose is implementing the appropriate safety and sanitation measures?
There’s one simple answer: Vindow.
Within the Vindow group accommodations sourcing platform, each hotel is rated by proprietary Vindow Score,™ a tool which lets you see how preferred venues rank when independently compared by location, amenities, health and safety ratings, and more. This score is distilled from millions of actual guest reviews on online review and hotel booking sites, using Artificial Intelligence technology. Compiled and analyzed to create a unique Vindow Score, it’s possible to monitor the cleanliness ratings of the property, in real-time, to ensure that your chosen venue is continuing to provide a safe, contaminant-free experience for all guests.
As well as the aggregate score (a numerical rating out of 5) included with every hotel listing, you can also drill down into the granular details of the Vindow Score, to obtain specific, detailed information about each property to enable you to make the best choice possible.
Planners can see numerical Vindow Scores for specific elements of each hotel, including:
- Facility
- Amenities
- Check-in Process>
- Food & Beverage
- Cleanliness
- Room Quality
- Sleep Quality
Finally, the Vindow Score gives each property a Neighborhood Composite Score, based on safety, accessibility and logistical factors related to the neighborhood, in the form of a percentage (100% being the best), making it easy for planners to determine if the hotel is located in a safe, easily accessible area.
