Meet Ana Lía Cascón, Vindow’s UX/UI Designer, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this month’s Employee Spotlight. Ana creates design proposals, workflows and functionalities that are essential for the Vindow Development team to visualize and understand how the app will work, before coding it. Ana’s efforts help the team resolve problems at the design stage, enabling developers to code faster and cleaner.

After receiving her degree in Audiovisual Design from Palermo University in Buenos Aires City, Ana continued her studies with coursework in Accessibility and User Experience at UTN. Her last – and favorite – course was an online COVID-19 Challenge from UXER School at Madrid. Working with teams of strangers from all around the world, the group applied Design Thinking methodologies to come up with ideas/prototypes to help ease the COVID crisis.

To her neighbors Ana is known as, “the girl that likes animals, especially dogs.” She has given homes to so many rescue dogs, that people often thought she was a professional dog trainer. One other unique fact about Ana is that she’s one of two sets of twins born in her family, so Ana and all of her siblings are twins!

At work, Ana enjoys the “good vibes” she gets interacting with her fellow Vindow team members. According to Ana, “The people at Vindow are great; real team players and hard workers who are always there to give a hand when you reach out to them.”

For fun, Ana enjoys exploring. “When I’m travelling on the bus or by car, I like paying attention to the graffiti on the walls,” shares Ana. “I know some people think it’s wrong, but I like it. It’s an art form. A couple of weeks ago I read, ‘Viniste a la vida a ser feliz, no te distraigas (You came to be happy, do not be distracted).’ I love that philosophy.”
